Clearwell Castle offers you fifteen gorgeous bedrooms including a Bridal Suite complete with four poster bed and spa bath. All bedrooms are exclusively reserved for you and your guests on your wedding night. An early check-in is guaranteed so that your chosen friends and family can arrive from Midday to get ready in good time. We can even arrange for sandwiches and drinks to be served in the bedrooms whilst your guests are getting ready ensuring that they stay refreshed until after your wedding ceremony! All of our bathrooms are equipped with fluffy white towels and gorgeous White Company products and all of our beds are luxuriously finished with the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen and comfortable pillows. A full English breakfast is served the following morning, providing the perfect end to your stay at Clearwell Castle.

What better way to start your day than arriving the night before! Our Keeper's Cottage is reserved exclusively for the Bride and Bridal Party from 5pm the night before the wedding. We can arrange food and wine for your arrival and a selection of girly DVDs and CDs are available for you so that you can really enjoy your last night of freedom! You might even decide to arrange for a beautician from our recommended list to meet you at the cottage the night before or the following morning for some pampering in preparation for your big day! One of the best things about staying in the Keeper's Cottage is the view from your bedroom window - waking up to views of Clearwell Castle is the perfect start to a perfect day! Breakfast is also provided for you and with two en-suite bathrooms and plenty of full length mirrors, the Keeper's Cottage is a wonderful setting in which to get ready on your special day! North Lodge and Portcullis View Studio are located on the right hand of the Castle driveway with stunning views of the historic Castle portcullis and surrounding meadows. North Lodge has a kitchen with working Rayburn, lovely dining area and a beautiful light conservatory which provides the perfect place for the Groom to relax with his Groomsmen the night before the wedding. There is a ground floor bathroom as well as a twin and double room upstairs. Portcullis View Studio which is located inside the grounds of North Lodge is a stunning studio with a downstairs kitchen and lounge area (with sofa bed) and a double bedroom (en-suite upstairs). Clearwell Castle is used exclusively for weddings and we work closely with local florists who supply quality silk flowers in keeping with the venue and the occasion. Pedestals and various other arrangements throughout the house, made up of neutral creams and greens mean that you do not need to spend a fortune on wedding flowers.

People often assume that old buildings are very environmentally unfriendly but that really doesn’t have to be the case. We have been working with environmental consultants and the Carbon Trust and have been able to make many small but significant changes to our venues- heating the houses with efficient boilers, thermostats on hot water tanks, heaters and lights on time clocks, energy efficient light bulbs, pipe and loft insulation and of course we recycle all glass, cans, paper and plastic. These are things our Bride and Grooms would never notice but they make a big difference to our carbon output.

All our tea and coffee products carry the Fairtrade label ensuring that disadvantaged producers in developing countries are getting a better deal. We also offer an excellent selection of wines to compliment your menu, including a Fairtrade and Organic selection.

We are responsible and ethical when purchasing products. Our chefs aim to use only free range Chicken, Turkey, pork and eggs. Our Gressingham Ducks come from Maple Tree Farm in Suffolk and our beef and Lamb are British.
