Manor House

Manor House Wedding Venues

Picture-perfect country houses in beautiful rural settings.

A manor house makes the perfect wedding venue: romantic, private and large enough to host everything and everyone under one roof. At Country House Weddings, we have a selection of historic manor houses among our collection of heritage wedding venues.

Inside, our manor houses have a choice of spaces for your ceremony and reception, while outdoors, a combination of formal gardens and sweeping parkland gives you plenty of opportunity to extend the celebrations. You’ll have exclusive use of the house and grounds – make yourself at home.

Castle

Castle Wedding Venues

For fairytale weddings and dreams come true.

Could there be a more romantic setting than a castle? Clearwell Castle has the crenellations and portcullis of a story-book castle, and to make it even more perfect, it has an idyllic sylvan setting in the ancient Forest of Dean.

Castles are the wedding venues for everyone who ever dreamed of a happy ending and a fairytale prince(ss). At Clearwell, there’s a choice of indoor and outdoor settings for the ceremony, while the wooded gardens provide the backdrop for a unique wedding album.

Barn Wedding Venues

Gather the whole clan together to celebrate your wedding

For feasting with an old-world feel, a converted barn makes the perfect venue. At Leez Priory, the ancient Coach House Barn lends itself to larger gatherings, with seating for over 100 guests under its soaring ceiling and exposed beams.

The simple look of an rustic barn lets your creative imagination run riot. From simple contemporary country designs to medieval or Tudor-inspired decor, you can have a lot of fun styling your wedding barn for the ceremony or wedding breakfast.

Deer Park

Deer Park Wedding Venues

Discover wedding venues set in historic parks and gardens.

When you choose a Country House Weddings venue for your special day, you have exclusive use of the grounds as well as the mansion. Our houses are all set in large estates, combining formal gardens with swathes of parkland and trees.

St Audries Park in Somerset is lucky to have a designated 100-acre deer park as part of its estate. You can glimpse the shy deer among the trees as you explore the grounds, and the romantic deer park makes a unique background for your photographs. Gosfield Hall in Essex no longer has its cervine residents, but the sweeping acreage of the historic deer park remains.

Orangery Wedding Venues

An exquisite indoor-outdoor space for your wedding ceremony.

With natural light streaming in through the many windows and delicate architectural details, a Victorian orangery makes an elegant wedding venue. At night, twinkling lights and candles bring a cosy glow to the lovely indoor-outdoor space.

One of our historic houses, St Audries Park, is lucky enough to have a beautifully preserved Victorian orangery. Its calm decor and natural light give it a serene, chapel-like ambience, enhanced by its aisle layout. Naturally, fresh flowers look simply wonderful in their glasshouse setting, and our florists will work with you to create the perfect displays.

Country Wedding Venues

Historic houses set in the romantic English countryside.

Explore our carefully chosen collection of Country House Wedding venues, each one located in a lovely rural landscape. From graceful Georgian manors to vaulted Tudor halls, our selection is as varied as it is beautiful.

We established Country House Weddings over 35 years ago when we recognised the potential of these beautiful buildings as exclusive wedding venues. Everything about them is perfect, from the elegant indoor spaces & accommodation to their formal gardens and sweeping parkland. As all-inclusive wedding venues, nowhere else comes close.

Bride & bridemaids

All-Inclusive Wedding Venues

Everything you need, under one roof (and turrets).

An all-inclusive wedding venue provides everything you need for your special day. Everything can take place in the same building, from the marriage ceremony to overnight accommodation for your guests.

Their extraordinary scale makes country houses the perfect venues for all-inclusive weddings. Our selection of wedding packages includes the service, reception and party all under one roof. An all-inclusive wedding makes the day effortless for you and your guests.

Exclusive-Use Wedding Venues

Your home for the day…

When you choose an exclusive-use wedding venue, you’ll have the house and grounds all to yourself for the whole day (or days if you’ve chosen the two-day wedding package).

Unlike hotel wedding venues, you won’t be disturbed by other guests or functions. You and your guests can enjoy the gardens and parklands at your leisure, and if you want overnight accommodation, rest assured it’s reserved just for you so everyone can stay in one place.

Accommodation

Wedding Venues with Accommodation

The perfect end to the most wonderful day.

If you and your guests have exclusive use of your wedding venue, the accommodation will often be reserved for your use only. All Country House Weddings venues have accommodation, including cottages on the grounds and guest rooms in the main house.

Venues such as St Audries Park have estate houses reserved exclusively for the wedding party, and all our mansions have opulent honeymoon suites for the wedding night. If you have chosen a two-day wedding package, you and your guests will enjoy a short break in a magnificent estate.

Catering

Wedding Venues with Catering

Delectable food served in beautiful settings.

Sharing food and drink together is such an essential part of the wedding. Each Country House Weddings venue has its own in-house catering team, and our Chefs will work with you and your Personal Wedding Manager to design the perfect menus. We never use outside catering, ensuring that all the dishes meet our exacting standards.

As well as the wedding breakfast, guests can be treated to welcome drinks & cocktails, canapes, evening feasts and more. All our venues have well-stocked and specialist bars, again staffed by our in-house specialists.

What our happy couples have to say

Country House Weddings couples reflect on their special days, and share what they loved about the locations.
