The top wedding websites for planning advice

The top wedding websites for planning advice.

With less than 4% of couples hiring stylists or planners to support them on their wedding days, casting the net even further for the advice and inspiration required to plan your special day is a must.

Google, social media, and friends and family are fantastic sources of information to help you tick off all the tasks on your wedding to-do list, however, for those of you who haven’t got the time to dig deep for the best advice there are dedicated wedding websites at your disposal.

We’ve compiled a list of our favourite wedding websites for planning advice to make the entire process a whole lot simpler…

The Knot

The Knot is a go-to wedding resource for couples around the globe. Alongside their planning tools, wedding website builder and registry creator, their ideas and advice section is chock-full of fantastic, wedding-related information, with everything from the engagement, ceremony, reception, and pre-wedding parties and events to travel, fashion, beauty, wellness and gifts covered.

They even publish a quarterly magazine, which can be enjoyed online in digital form or as a print edition.

Bridal Musings

Another top-rated wedding resource is Bridal Musings. Founded in 2011, it’s considered a veteran on the wedding blog scene and is a celebration of weddings of all shapes, sizes and styles.

Founder and Editor-in-Chief Elizabeth Muhmood Kane aims to “help couples create a vision for their own kind of perfect day”. With this in mind, you’ll find real weddings, professionally styled shoots, tips and features on their website and across their social media channels.

Bridal Musings is loved by couples and wedding industry experts alike, and has been featured in French Vogue, Buzzfeed, Glamour, Refinery29, Flare Magazine, The Daily Mail, Wedding Magazine, Reverie Magazine, and The Next Web.

Hitched

Hitched, The Knot’s UK-based website, offers all the bells and whistles every couple planning their wedding might need, including a free wedding website builder, free invitation and stationery samples, vendor directory and planning tools. The Hitched Wedding Awards also sets the benchmark for the wider industry.

The Hitched blog is equally impressive, while their forums offer the chance to chat to other couples at varying stages of the wedding planning process.

Brides

With its reputation as a print magazine still renowned, Brides remains a top choice for wedding inspiration. Unbeknown to many, Brides has been providing expert advice and inspiration for some 89 years! Here Brides shares more about their history so far:

“When we printed our first pages in 1934, the title was So You’re Going to Be Married. About 25 years later, that turned into The Bride’s Magazine, which was then shortened to Bride’s. Eventually, we dropped the apostrophe and said ‘I do’ to the name we all know and love today: Brides. We transitioned to a solely digital platform when we joined the Dotdash Meredith publishing family in 2019.”

Rock My Wedding

Rock My Wedding is known for its alternative take, making it one of the most inspirational sources for couples looking to go big on personalisation. The platform also hosts its own podcast to bring wedding advice and support to the people who need it in a whole different way.

You don’t need to search very far to find a great source of wedding advice and inspiration. Our very own blogroll is packed full of the stuff, with every topic – from wedding style to big day alternatives – covered! You can read our latest and greatest blog posts right here.
