It was a beautiful winter wedding in Bath Abbey for Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty MBE and model and influencer Holly Ramsay.

The couple first met in 2021 when Holly’s sister Tilly was in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing alongside Adam. He proposed to Holly in Crete in 2024, and they tied the knot on 27 December 2025.

Holly, who turned 26 just four days after the wedding, is a model, influencer and mental health advocate. She’s the first of Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s six children to walk down the aisle. Adam, 31 (again, his birthday was just after the wedding!), is an Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth champion, widely regarded as the top breaststroke swimmer of his era.

As per the latest fashion for brides, there were several outfit changes. Holly arrived at Bath Abbey with her dress hidden beneath an elegant white cloak (a wise choice on a chilly December day). Underneath, she wore a white Elie Saab dress with a train, its lacy high neck inspired by Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton’s wedding gowns. In a truly lovely touch, she changed into her mother’s 1996 wedding dress for the reception, and looked incredibly like Tana. Finally, she wore a second Elie Saab dress, this time a fun sequinned mini that was perfect for the party.

Adam went for a classic look with a black tux and bow tie. The bridal party, which included Holly’s sisters Tilly and Megan, looked stunning in red dresses by Victoria Beckham. The designer also attended the wedding with her family.

After the ceremony, the party and guests moved onto Kin House, a Georgian manor in the Cotswolds. As you’d expect, the catering was outstanding, with dad Gordon and his team taking charge. However, the evening party food (spicy margaritas and fries) was Holly’s choice.

Following a lavish wedding, two birthdays and Christmas, the couple plan to rest and unwind in January as they head to Mauritius on honeymoon.

Your own wedding in Somerset

We can understand why Adam and Holly chose to wed in Somerset. With its lush green landscape and pretty villages, the English county is an idyllic location for your wedding. St Audries Park is in the Quantock Hills near the coast, set in its own private 100-acre estate and deer park. There’s a beautiful Victorian Orangery and a selection of elegant reception spaces; and like Kin House, there’s also luxurious guest accommodation in the house and estate.

If, like Adam and Holly, you’d prefer a church service, the charming parish church of St Etheldreda’s is just on the edge of the estate. It seats 120 guests and is an easy stroll to the house for the reception.

You can also capture the graceful look of Adam and Holly’s Georgian reception rooms in two of our other country houses, Gosfield Hall and Leez Priory. Bourton Hall has its own former Catholic Chapel for a traditional-looking civil marriage ceremony.
