“I married a real life Disney princess”, posted songwriter and producer Benny Blanco after his wedding. Given that the bride is actress and singer Selena Gomez, the groom’s words are absolutely right.
Selena and Benny were married on 27 September in Santa Barbara. The couple started dating in 2023 and became engaged in December 2024; however, their friendship goes back much further, with the pair collaborating on Selena’s music as early as 2015. Their deep connection has been clear in every appearance or photograph of the couple, both of them glowing with obvious happiness.
They exchanged vows in the lush surroundings of the Sea Crest Nursery (a working nursery that specialises in palm trees and cycads) overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Elegant marquees provided indoor-outdoor spaces for dining and dancing.
Their guest list included the pair’s celebrity friends: Selena’s close friend Taylor Swift (whose heartfelt speech had everyone in tears, we hear), her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, plus Paul Rudd, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park and Paris Hilton.
Selena wore no fewer than three white wedding dresses during the day, all from her favoured designer, Ralph Lauren. We love the delicate lace and classic halter neck of her first gown, and she kept to that graceful old-Hollywood style with her second satin dress, also a halter neck. Finally, she changed into a slightly shorter dress with a swirly fit-and-flare cut for the evening. Benny was also in Ralph Lauren, wearing a sharp tux accessorised with diamond bracelets.
A real-life Disney princess indeed, Selena’s hair had a look of Snow White’s famous marcel wave style. The bride paid homage to classic movie star glamour with a face-framing long bob, pictured with and without a veil.
The combination of the couple’s classic outfits and lovely garden setting created a wedding aesthetic with a timelessly elegant – and wonderfully romantic – feel.
