Predicted Bridal Fashion Trends for 2019

Planning your dream wedding can be one of the most exciting periods of your life. One of the main things on your to do list will be finding your wedding dress.  When it comes to finding your perfect wedding dress, you may already have a few designs in mind, or you may be looking for some inspiration.

Bridal trends change all the time, so here we look the hottest bridal trends for 2019.

Dreamy Gowns

Meghan Markle’s wedding dress has had a huge influence on bridal trends for 2019. Meghan’s marriage to Prince Harry in May has seen brides-to-be rushing to find a similar dress to the elegant gown designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. The dress design has become increasingly in demand since the royal wedding and is set to be a big hit with brides in 2019.

Romantic ball gowns are going to be big news for brides next year. The bridal catwalks exhibited gorgeous gowns featuring lace sleeves, large bows, and embellished strapless bodices. These voluminous styles are guaranteed to turn heads on your big day. Sparkling embellishments will adorn bridal gowns, with added metallics, sequins and beading all ensuring your look will be dazzling.

Something Different

If a dress isn’t your thing, and you’re after an alternative look then why not go for a sophisticated jumpsuit, or chic business suit. The trend known as the “court house” look is hot on bridal catwalks for next year. This look could be ideal if you’re having a civil ceremony, since the style is casual but elegant too. Harper’s Bazaar explains:

“Bianca Jagger-style pantsuits still have their place, but jumpsuits have taken a more tailored, sophisticated turn this season. These pieces are no longer just sexy looks for the after party, but sharp enough for a civil ceremony, rehearsal dinner or engagement fete. Before creating an entire wedding wardrobe of dresses and gowns, consider this trend, which is just as streamlined, feminine and elegant as a sleek sheath.”

If you’re not into veils, you could opt for the next big thing in bridal fashion: capes. Seen on runways during bridal fashion week, full length capes and shorter capelets are a modern alternative to veils. They still add movement to your wedding gown, and give you coverage to your shoulders if you are wearing a strapless dress.

Bridal Beauty

Top bridal makeup looks for next year are pink monochrome, seen on Lela Rose catwalk, and shimmering metallics at Berta. These beautiful makeup styles will complement your bridal look. Other trends are matte red lipstick, metallic nail polish and silver eyeliner. All of these featured during Spring 2018 bridal fashion week.

For wedding hair, half up do’s gets a make-over. Instead of creating a half up section, just the front layers are pulled back and hair is laid flat, offering a natural romantic appearance. Other styles seen on the catwalk include blunt bob cuts for an edgy appearance, and classic up do’s with loose hanging tendrils. Large hair bows, floral crowns and headbands look set to adorn bridal hair in 2019. These gorgeous trends are sure to make you look and feel amazing on your special day.
