Millions of us have followed the two-year romance between the global superstar and Kansas City Chiefs footballer Travis Kelce, and their August engagement news made headlines across the world. Here’s how everyone’s favourite Love Story played out.
Taylor and Travis have been dating since 2023 after Travis used his podcast, New Heights, as a “dating app” to reach out to Taylor. He’d previously tried to meet her in true Swiftie style by going to one of her gigs with a friendship bracelet, and confessed to feeling “a little hurt” when his plan failed. The engagement announcement was accompanied by a series of beautiful photographs of the couple in a lush woodland garden. The already-lovely sylvan setting was enhanced with elegantly simple blooms and a floral archway to create a classically romantic aesthetic. As the actual proposal had taken place in a garden (in Missouri, two weeks earlier), the photographs, although staged, have an authentic feel.
Taylor looks beautiful in a Ralph Lauren halterneck, and she shares a close-up of her magnificent cushion-cut diamond ring. As an extra-special touch, the ring was custom-designed by Travis himself along with New York jeweller Artifex Fine Jewellery.
